Waipio Sunrise

In order to capture this image, we traversed the road to down to Waipi’o Valley in the dark to ensure that we were on the beach in time for sunrise. The Waipi’o river is typically about 30’ wide and runs directly to the sea. On this day the stream had turned and spilled over onto the beach, creating a perfect mirror of the West headwall  of the valley.
